Research
IRI’s research is directed toward two ongoing projects : a software for the annotion of audio and video streams labelled « Lignes de Temps » and the collaborative platform titled « l’Amateur ». The main collaborations in which IRI takes part are the ANR/Cap Digital Cine Lab project (annotations of movies, communication and sharing of these annotations among personal computers, servers and mobile devices), the MEDIA 2007 Glitner project (website dedicated to exchanges between movie producers and VoD platforms) and the THD platform (Very High Bandwidth) Cap Digital project (experimentation of contents and services designed for very high bandwidth networks).
IRI’s research program deals with a field of research linked to cultural and cognitive technologies mainly aimed at new mediations with the public in the emerging context of Web 2.0. and social networks, to explore new technologies fitted for Web 3.0 conceived as collaborative devices for the production and sharing of instruments and spaces for critic. The main goal being to develop such instruments and spaces for the benefit of communities of amateurs.
