LabEx IUW (Intelligencies of Urban Worlds)

The laboratory IUW Iri belongs to has been graded with A+ with 9 other Labex SSH (Social Sciences and Humanities).

Iri will notably implicate in the issue of new knowledge, in the wake of theoretical research on attention and on the role of the amateur that are in the core of collaborative designing – that depend itself on knowledge and content engineering systems, on a good comprehension of cognitive mechanisms and social dynamics, on the social engineering of participatory systems and on the issue of new spatial and temporal references in digital fields.

Iri also plans to work within IUW in close partnership with Liris (CRNS-Lyon 1) on the control of temporally contributions (by voice or video) and the study and development of systems that manage metadata associated with time information. These systems will be designed to highlight the spotting of opposition or convergences between certain elements of the speech (polemic tagging and display of the contributions).

Iri is also interested in the IUW project on the subject of New interactions and particularly for the development of criticism spaces in the political field, of the public debate and the e-citizenship (notably the structured expression on public data and the stakes of discredit and engramming but also what is now called relational technologies and at last on philosophical stakes of the Web). Research has be launched on the last subject within the European progam Marie Curie which is related with the PhiloWeb project.
