INHA, June 21st, 10AM – 4PM

The High Council for artistic and cultural education <http://hceac.blogspot.com/> organized a plenary session on Tuesday, June 21st. It will be the second on the issue of education in a digital context, in the INHA facilities, 2 rue Vivienne 75002.

After 2 ministries, the High Council wants to be heard by the most in a domain recently made essential for artistic and cultural education, but still too superficially taken into account in the politics for future development of our government. The definition of a Digital chart, drafted in the wake of our previous session (December 2nd) at the Centre Pompidou and then designed this year in partnership with Iri, is to become a major stake for tomorrow’s politics and leaders. By associating different speeches form educative, cultural and artistic backgrounds, the approach of the High Council is clear: draw the outline of a national policy on digital fields that respond to all kinds of public’s expectations and to the artistic and cultural institutions’ needs.

We choose to focus the discussions and debates of June 21st’s session on two aspects that tackles a essential issue for the construction and the transmission of knowledge: « Interoperability of access to cultural and artistic education: which getion of Digital Humanities and which training for teachers? »

At first, the reflection will be about metadata indexation and normalization, their appropriation and interpretation, about the electronic edition strategy, the system of sharing, storage and preservation of digital data.

The training of teachers will also be tackled on several aspects: interdisciplinary cooperation, adapted pedagogic resources, actions and resources gathering, pedagogic and didactic skills networks, teaching with TICe. All this in order to demonstrate how the digital sector can enhance teaching.
